My name is Grace McDowell (she/her) and I’m a public historian and market researcher with over 12 years of combined professional experience at:
- a world-class museum
- a federally-funded public humanities council
- two international market research teams (agency, corporate brand research).
As a customer/audience research consultant, I provide customized evaluation solutions including: survey writing, focus group development and moderation, in-depth interviews, all with an integrated approach to data analysis and insights. I focus on serving mission-based companies and nonprofits.
Through my education and work in public history and the public humanities sector, I offer grant writing for cultural organizations (and beyond), historical research and writing services, and the facilitation of oral history projects.
I am based in Berlin, Germany but come from Indiana, USA. I can work with you in-person in Berlin or remotely, with the ability to invoice worldwide. I look forward to hearing from you.
